HISTORY & LOCATION

Located in the conservation area protecting Portland and Brunswick Squares either end of Surrey Street, this imposing period building has been established as a Bar since around 1850 and has been trading under the same name ever since. The building has been recently refurbished both inside and out, with an emphasis on creating a cosy warm atmosphere through the use of natural materials such as wood and granite. The main bar on the ground floor is full of character(s) and has plenty of seating space. Upstairs there is further seating plus a conservatory with leather sofas, often used for private meetings. Finally, on this level there is an outside balcony with seating.
